Winona McGlamory Love

Winona Love, a beloved resident of Blakely, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18th, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on Tuesday, January 28th, 1936, in Cedar Springs, Georgia, Winona lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and community.

Winona was a devoted seamstress and caretaker, known for her gentle spirit and unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her hands crafted not only garments but also a legacy of warmth and care that will be cherished by all who knew her. A faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church, Winona's life was a testament to her deep faith and compassion.

She is survived by her loving children: Bill Love (Teresa) of Hiram, GA; Debbie Bagwell (Jimmy) of Blakely, GA; Pam Holmes (Flip) of Albany, GA; Joy Love Ryan of Blakely, GA; and Joel Love (Val) of Prattville, AL. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Mindy Love, Hannah Love, Kalli Branam, Kyle Bagwell (Jennifer), Colt Holmes, Kati Bussey (Josh), Kirsten Foster, Kendall Crozier (Trace), Noah Love, Ally Dalton (Jackson), Jonathan Love, Breahna Welch (Porter), and Caitlyn O'Shield. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Gabriel Love-Oakes (Victoria), Ethan Lee (Katie), Jaxson Cagle, Larkin Bagwell, Maeven Bagwell, Makenzy Bussey, Trenton Bussey, Molly Foster, Emmaline Crozier, Johnny Crozier IV, Bryson Dalton, and Ayla Welch, and a great-great-grandchild, Parker Lee. The family would like to thank Georgia Hospice, Sharron Glenn and Mary Helen Glenn for the care and comfort given during this time of transition.

Winona was preceded in death by her parents, Joel Henry McGlamory and Myrtle Rebecca McGlamory, her siblings: Doster Brown McGlamory, Wallace Kenneth McGlamory, William Edward McGlamory, George Marion McGlamory, Joel Philmon McGlamory, Berrion Martin McGlamory, Tom McGlamory, Jack Henry McGlamory, and Leila Juanita McGlamory, and a special great-grandson, DJ Love-Oakes.

A visitation will be held at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at First Assembly of God Church on Thursday, October 22nd, 2026, at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Jerry Murkerson and Rev. Ronald Waters. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Cedar Springs. Honoring her life as pallbearers will be Kyle Bagwell, Colt Holmes, Noah Love, Gabriel Love-Oakes, Ethan Lee, and Jonathan Love.
