William Paul "Paul" Smith of Wesley Chapel, Florida passed away Monday, January 12, 2026 at the age of 77. Paul is survived by his wife, Lisa Gall Smith and former spouse, mother of his two sons and lifelong friend, Angie Alexander Smith; his two sons, Lex (Kelly) Smith and Lance (Lori) Smith, and his beloved grandchildren; Makenna Smith Diaz, Abigail Smith Nelson, Ty Smith and Ethan Smith; and 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings; Kent Smith of Blakely and Terry Hoover and Frances Garner of Tallahassee; Lisa's children, Chris Burns and Karen Rutledge and her 5 grandchildren. Paul was predeceased by his father, William Standifer "Bill" Smith of Blakely and his mother, Carolyn Pullen Carter of Tallahassee.
He was born and raised in Blakely, Georgia, attended Early County High School where he formed lifelong friendships with many. Paul spent countless years dedicated to Dade City Little League, PAL Football, and many other youth sporting programs in Dade City following his arrival in 1978. His love for sports and his two sons is something that brought him great joy. Paul spent his career owning and operating Action Utility Products, and continued to take pride in the services and products he provided to many electric cooperatives and providers. His love for golf and fellowship led him to memberships and many friendships formed at Lake Bernadette and Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, where he was an early and longstanding member.
Family receiving friends Friday, January 16, 2026 from 11:00-1:00 at First United Methodist Church, Christian Life Center, Dade City. His love for his hometown of Blakely, Georgia leads him to his final resting place. Services will be held in Blakely on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Manry - Jordan - Hodges Funeral Home with a private family burial following.
