Wesley Kenneth Cleveland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wesley Kenneth Cleveland, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who left us on Friday, August 7th, 2026, at the age of 47. Wesley was born on Thursday, October 12th, 1978, in Albany, Georgia, and resided in Blakely, GA, where he was a cherished member of the community.

Wesley was a dedicated farmer, known for his hard work and respected by all in the surrounding communities. His passion for farming was matched only by his love for his family and friends. Wesley's warm smile and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Ruel Cleveland ( Kay) of Arlington, GA, and Beverly Patalas (Bill) of Scottsboro, AL. and his fiance, Erin Pinkston of Blakely, GA.  Wesley was a devoted father to his children: Abby Roland (Isaiah) of Donalsonville, GA, Wesley Cleveland of Blakely, GA, Katie Brooke Cleveland of Blakely, GA, David Ford (Thea) of Tifton, GA, Kristina McCard (Bryce) of Colquitt, GA, and Isabella Garcia (Bryan) of Blakely, GA. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and his siblings: Ashley Maxwell (Jim) of Leesburg, GA, Christ Mattson (Beth) of California, Gary Mattson (Tina) of South Carolina, and Eddie Mattson of Oregon. Wesley's faithful friend and work partner, Hushie Thornton, will forever cherish his memory. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wesley was preceded in death by his brothers, Jason Cleveland and Chris Barnett, whose memories he held dear.

A visitation will be held at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13th, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, where family and friends can gather to pay their respects. Funeral services will be held at Southwest Georgia Academy, 14105 GA-200 Damascus, GA, on Friday, August 14th, 2026, at 4:00 pm, with Jay Winkler officiating. Interment will follow at Gordon Cemetery in the family plot.

Arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Wesley's family extends their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

Wesley's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
