William Timothy Roberts, Jr., 61, of Blakely, GA passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2020 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February, 28, 2020, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Williams officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Tim was born on June 27, 1958 in Blakely, the son of William T. "Billy" and Edythe Bowen Roberts.He was a '76 graduate of Early County High School where he proudly wore the #66 for the Bobcats football team and went on to complete his education at The College of Architecture, Design and Construction at Auburn University.Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat, he returned to his alma mater to design the current field house and numerous projects throughout Blakely.Tim was also a gifted artist, a talent he inherited from his mother.Along with his wife and soulmate, Colleen Perdue Roberts, he returned to Blakely in 2016 after living and practicing in Miami for numerous years.Tim was a member of Friends of Blakely Animal Shelter and a board member of both Friends of Kolomoki Mounds and The Early County Museum.
In addition to his loving mother and wife, he is survived by his sons and daughter, William O'Neal Roberts and wife Deborah, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Timothy Coy Roberts and wife Erin, of Atlanta, Kadison Bowen Roberts, and Jesselea Ruby Roberts, both of Gainesville, FL; and a sister, Vickie Lea Williams and husband Danny, of Blakely.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rueben Milton Roberts.
