Shirley Gail Enfinger

Shirley Gail Enfinger, a beloved resident of Blakely, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on Friday, April 26th, 1946, in Ozark, Alabama, Shirley lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy.

Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose family was the center of her world. She is survived by her loving children: Bobby Ray Enfinger (Charleane DePriest), Linda Gail Mobley, Teresa Lynn Tedder, and Tiffany Dianne Mock (Trey). She was a cherished sister to Dianne McLemore (James) and leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren: Blake Enfinger, Gavin Enfinger, David Lee Mobley, Jr., Ashley Poole, Abby Howard, Bryant Tedder, Trent Mock, Makayla Mock, Payton Mock, and Addison Mock, as well as 20 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Tharpe and Olean Bennett, her sister Pat Martin, her granddaughter Alexandra Tedder, and her sons-in-law Teddy Tedder and David Lee Mobley, Sr.

A dedicated assistant teacher at Early County Head Start, Shirley touched the lives of many young children with her kindness and patience. Her passion for education and nurturing young minds was evident in her work and her interactions with her own family.

Shirley had a deep love for plants and flowers. She was an avid fan of wrestling and Elvis, and she cherished moments spent at the beach and Disney with her family. Her grandbabies were her pride and joy, and she never missed an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and milestones.

Funeral services will be held at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at 3:00 pm. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the same location. Shirley's grandsons will honor her as pallbearers, carrying her memory with love and respect. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew May, Jonathan Smith, Phillip Wilburn, Greg Howard, Keith Poole, and Dustin Jenkins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, who have provided compassionate care during this difficult time.

Shirley Gail Enfinger will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering love for her family, and her vibrant spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
