In Loving Memory of Ronnie Franklin English
September 8, 1949 – July 5, 2026
Ronnie Franklin English, 76, passed away on July 5, 2026.
Ronnie proudly served his country as a Specialist Four in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from November 11, 1969, to October 2, 1970. Following his military service, he dedicated nearly 50 years to Wasdin Builders, where he was known for his hard work, loyalty, and dedication.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Debra Knight; his children, Rhonda Jo English, Ronald C. English (Chris), Nina Causey, and Jennifer Knight; his beloved dog, Little Bit; his grandchildren, Megan, Justin, Joanna, Destiny, Madyson, James, Andrew, Dylan, and Caleb; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Green; and his nephew, Blake English.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, William "Bill" English and Marion "Buddy" English; his sisters, Judy English, Virginia Cleveland, and Ada Odum; and his great-granddaughter, Jolene Ellen Adams; and a son-in-law Harold Causey Jr.
Ronnie will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his love for his family, and his faithful service to his country. He was a true fan of Creedence Clearwater Revival, and if you stopped by, there was a good chance you'd find him with a guitar in his hands, singing "Lodi." Those simple moments, filled with music and love, are memories his family will cherish forever.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of love, service, and hard work will live on in the hearts of those
he leaves behind.
Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
