Ronald Earl “Ronnie” Taylor, Jr., 64, of Blakely, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026. He was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1961, to proud parents, Ronald and Bettye Taylor.
After graduation from Early County High School, he married Dyan Waller and they became parents of Chad Taylor and Trey Taylor (Katie). Besides his sons, he also leaves behind a brother, Jay Taylor of Cartersville, GA, a sister, Candace Burgess of Tifton, GA, granddaughter, Emma Grace Taylor of Columbus, GA, and his loving mother Bettye Williams Taylor and stepfather Don Widener. Ronnie is also survived by nieces, Dr. Alexis Taylor Smith (Evan) of Cartersville, GA, Dr. Ashley Taylor of Atlanta, GA, and Taylor Burgess of Warner Robins, GA; a nephew, Tripp Burgess of Tifton, GA, and sister-in-law Debra Waller Smith of Cuthbert, GA. Several cousins, aunts, uncles, and a special friend, Tracy Chester also survive.
Preceding Ronnie in death was his father, Ronald Earl Taylor, his wife, Dyan Waller Taylor, in-laws Glen and Barbara Jean Bush Waller, and brother-in-law Buster Smith.
Ronnie was a faithful, hard-working employee of Five Points Peanut Company for 20 years, a job he truly loved. He was a man who had the ability to do almost anything that was asked of him and could remember every detail. He loved outside work, his country home, God and music. He learned to cook after his wife, Dyan, passed away. He had a hidden talent that few knew: Ronnie had a beautiful singing voice. He was always the same every time you saw him. Ronnie was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Ronnie will be deeply missed by all of us who loved this faithful, generous, and loving man. He will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Southside Baptist Church on Friday, June 5, 2026, to share their memories of Ronnie. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 am until the Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Cancer Society of your choice in memory of Ronnie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, who has provided support to the family during this difficult time.
