Rodney Andrew "Andy" King, a beloved resident of Blakely, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10th, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on Thursday, March 19th, 1959, in Blakely, Andy spent his entire life in the community he cherished.
Andy was a dedicated agricultural mechanic at White Oak Pastures, where he was known for his exceptional skills and commitment to his work. Beyond his professional life, Andy was celebrated for his fresh produce and homemade cane syrup, which brought joy to many in the community.
He is survived by his loving children: Ashton Brooke King Wright (Christopher) of Dothan, AL, Perry Andrew King of Blakely, GA, Christopher Lloyd King of Blakely, GA, and Amber Grace King of Blakely, GA. Andy was a proud grandfather to Alexis Rose Wright, Asuma River King, Azula Rose King, Brentlee Andrew Easom, and Noah Rodgers Easom. He is also survived by his siblings: Robert Edward King, Jr. (Laurie), Daniel Clark King (Angela), and Sandra King Casey (Sherman), along with several nieces and nephews.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward King, Sr. and Gracie Clark King, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
A visitation will be held at Manry- Jordan- Hodges Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where family and friends can gather to pay their respects and share memories.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Blakely Church of Christ on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at 11:00 am, officiated by Danny Brewer. Following the service, Andy will be laid to rest at Blakely Cemetery.
Honoring Andy as pallbearers will be Matthew King, Timothy Standridge, Trey King, Josh King, James Cheek, and Lane Casey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, who have provided compassionate care during this difficult time.
Andy will be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to his family and community, and his passion for agriculture. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
