Roberta K. Hunt, a beloved resident of Damascus, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on August 9th, 1932, in Damascus, Georgia, Roberta lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
A devoted homemaker, Roberta was the heart of her family, providing unwavering support and love to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a cherished member of the Damascus Baptist Church, where her faith and kindness touched the lives of many.
Roberta is survived by her loving children: Gary Hunt (Sharon) of Blakely, GA; Sheryn Keen (Kip) of Leesburg, GA; Jerry Hunt (Sue) of Panama City Beach, FL; Terry Hunt of Damascus, GA; and Tracey Hunt of Doerun, GA. She was a proud grandmother to Nathan Hunt, Anna Hunt Stearns (Randy), Kyle Keen (Ashley), Ashley Keen Gavelek (Chris), Clay Keen, Clay Hunt (Brooke), Justin Hunt (Heather), Tiffany Henderson (Jason), Cole Hunt (Aimee), Davis Williamson (Emily), and Daniel Williamson. Her legacy continues through her 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Roberta is also survived by her sister, Clarene Killebrew Jones of Bainbridge, GA, and sisters-in-law, Sandra Killebrew of Roswell, GA, and Barbara Killebrew of Atlanta, GA. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 68 years, Thomas Charlton Hunt, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Ginger Hunt; grandsons, Chad Keen and Matthew Hunt; and siblings, Ronald Killebrew, Donald Killebrew, Horace Killebrew, Jr., Dorothy Heggie, and Lloyd Killebrew.
A funeral service to celebrate Roberta's life will be held at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Sterling Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Blakely Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a visitation at the funeral home from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on the same day.
Pallbearers honoring Roberta's memory will be her grandsons: Nathan Hunt, Kyle Keen, Clay Hunt, Justin Hunt, Cole Hunt, Davis Williamson, and Daniel Williamson.
Arrangements are provided by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Roberta's warmth, generosity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
