Rachael K. Jones, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated community member, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Enterprise, Alabama, Rachael was a cherished resident of Blakely, Georgia, where she lived a life full of love, service, and faith.

Rachael was the devoted wife of Wilson Earl Jones, with whom she shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, including their children, Cheryl Jones Gleaton (Gary) of Blakely, GA, and Randall Earl Jones (Lisa) of Prairieville, LA. Rachael was a proud grandmother to Jessica Lynn Gleaton (Dustin Mock), Hannah Kirby (Denton), and Caroline Pultz (Matt), and a doting great-grandmother to Levi Merritt, Waylon Merritt, Jack Kirby, and Keller Kirby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Franklin Kelley and Beatrice Odom Kelley, and by her siblings, Doris Kelley, Reba McIntosh, and Dot Byrd. Her family and friends will forever remember her kind and uplifting spirit.

Rachael dedicated her professional life to the Early County School System as a paraprofessional, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues. Her commitment to education and her community extended beyond her career. As a charter member of Southside Baptist Church, Rachael was a former Sunday School Teacher and an active participant in Women on Mission. Her faith and dedication to service were evident in every aspect of her life.

A funeral service to celebrate Rachael's life will be held at Southside Baptist Church on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Dennis Singletary and Rev. Warren Fox. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. Following the service, Rachael will be laid to rest in Blakely Cemetery.

Pallbearers honoring Rachael's memory include Sam Clinkscale, Jack Tedder, Fred Forsee, Lamar Willis, Chris Sumner, Cleve McFay, and Gerald Howard. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the King's Daughters Sunday School Class of Southside Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, Southside Baptist Church, or Mission Dignity, reflecting Rachael's lifelong commitment to helping others.

Arrangements are provided by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Rachael's legacy of kindness, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
