It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mickey Wayne Alexander, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Mickey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, at the age of 75, in his hometown of Blakely, Georgia.
Mickey was born on Friday, October 6th, 1950, in Blakely, Georgia, where he spent his entire life surrounded by family and friends. He was a dedicated industrial painter before retiring, and he was a cherished member of the Zion Free Will Baptist Church community.
Mickey is survived by his loving children: Michael Edward Conner, Kendall Alexander Alderman (Brent), John Carl Alexander, Angel Alexander Easom (Jeff), Kelly Oak, and Ansley Adams. He was a proud grandfather to Lanie Joy Conner, Michael Reid Conner, Zackary Alexander Alderman, James Cade Alderman, Landon Easom (Sidney), Megan Easom, Lindsey Easom, Mason Easom, Michael Easom, Alex Antley, Mackenzie Eisenberg (Max), Justis Bryan, Levi Bryan, Presley Adams, and River Adams. His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren, Ariel Antley and Reeves Easom.
Mickey is also survived by his siblings, Loyce Slatnyski (Paul) and Mary Sue Cleveland. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Alexander and Mary Cylene Alexander, his beloved spouse, Melanie Alexander, his granddaughter, Macy Easom, and his siblings Martha Hartzog and William Carl Alexander.
A visitation will be held at Zion Free Will Baptist Church on Monday, April 20th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Sowhatchee Cemetery in Blakely, GA, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Macy Easom Cancer Research Foundation at princessmacy.org, in honor of Mickey's late granddaughter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Mickey will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
