Mary Ailene Tennille Clower, a beloved resident of Blakely, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on Tuesday, July 2, 1935, in Newton, Georgia, Ailene lived a life full of love, devotion, and service to her family and community.
A dedicated homemaker, Ailene was self-employed, managing her household with grace and care. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the cornerstones of her family, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Ailene was a member of Southside Baptist Church until her health declined; she found joy and fellowship among her church family. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, providing strength and comfort to her and those around her.
She is survived by her cherished granddaughters, Ashley Floyd Ward (Micah) of Blakely and Jessica Floyd Haire (Jamey) of Donalsonville, and her beloved great-grandsons, Wyatt Thomas Ward and Lawson Allen Ward, also Son-In-Law, Glynn Floyd. Ailene also leaves behind her dear sisters, Sara Jean Spurlock of Patmos and Joyce Childs of Thomasville, GA.
Ailene as preceded in death by her loving husband, Leron Willie Clower; her daughter, Mary Lynn Floyd; her parents, Lasselo and Lucile Tennille; her sisters, Dorothy Heath and Faye Edwards; and her brother, Dennis Tennille.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Ailene’s life will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, with Rev Billy Bevan, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service time, offering an opportunity for loved ones to gather and share memories. Pallbearers being asked to serve are Micah Ward, Jamey Haire, Greg Floyd, Stevie Donley, Barry Clower and Mike Stuart. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Arlington, GA.
