Lois Rebecca Mauck Nolan, age 93, of Blakely, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2026. She was born on August 1, 1932 in Luray, VA.
Lois spent her life rooted in Blakely, where she was known for her kindness, generosity, and deep love for her family and community. In her earlier years, she worked at the Bank of Early before continuing her career at Blakely Cable, where she remained until its closure. She later embraced retirement, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
She found great joy in crocheting, needlepoint, and baking. The many handmade items she created were lovingly shared with friends and family, as her special way of saying “thank you” or “I love you.” Her thoughtful gifts will be cherished for generations.
Lois was a devoted member of Westview Methodist Church. She also gave her time as a volunteer with the Family Unification Network, where she helped collect Dial soap for Georgia prisons—quietly serving others with compassion and humility.
She is survived by her son, Jim W. Nolan; her granddaughter, Jenny Rebecca Beasley (Ron); and her great-granddaughter, Chloe Beasley. Lois is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren, and 4 step-great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Hilda Jones and Ramona Nolan, as well as several nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love, generosity, and faith lives on through them.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gladys Mauck, and siblings, Alvin Mauck, Melverine Comfort, Barbara Bain, Naomi Barlow, and Harold Mauck.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the same location beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lori Lewis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the “Soap Ministry” that Lois was so passionate about. Donations can be sent to Westview Methodist Church, c/o Cliff Starr, 85 Willow Glen Drive, Blakely, GA. Please mark as “Soap Ministry”.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lois will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
