Larry Wayne Revells

Larry Wayne Revells, a beloved resident of Jakin, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19th, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on Saturday, November 1st, 1958, in Nashville, Tennessee, Larry was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

Larry was the son of the late Grady Everett Revells and Bettie Jo Edwards Revells. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donnis Revells, his brother, James Michael Revells, and his daughter, Tosha Laney Revells. Larry's legacy of love and kindness will continue through his surviving family members: his brother, Robert "Bones" Revells, and sister-in-law, Jane Crest Revells; his grandchild, Conner Peterson; his nieces, Sonja Jean Revells and Dawn Joy Revells; his cousin, Bobby Garnett Edwards, Jr.; as well as two great-nieces, one great-nephew, and one great-great-nephew.

Larry was a dedicated security officer at the Farley Nuclear Plant, where he worked diligently to ensure the safety and security of his community. He was a proud alumnus of the ECHS Class of 1978 and played the tuba in the ECHS Band of Blue, showcasing his love for music. Larry also enjoyed spending time at Jack's in Dothan, Alabama, where he was known for his enthusiastic participation in karaoke nights.

A funeral service to honor Larry's life will be held at Springfield Baptist Church on Friday, July 24th, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at the church at 11:00 am, allowing family and friends to pay their respects. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Larry's final arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for the service will include Darrell Bruner and Tommy Smith, who were both dear friends of Larry.

Larry Wayne Revells will be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to his family and community, and his love for music and life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
