Larry Edward Harris

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Edward Harris, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Larry peacefully departed this life on Sunday, August 30th, 2026, at the age of 75. A proud native of Georgia, Larry was born on Monday, January 29th, 1951.

Larry spent much of his life dedicated to his career as a District Service Manager at Digital Xray Technology with SwissRay, and Phillips Medical, where he was renowned for his commitment to excellence and innovation. A proud veteran, Larry served his country honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating valor and steadfastness in all his endeavors.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Mary McCuen Harris, who stood by his side with unwavering love and support. He leaves behind his two sons, Shawn Devin Harris and Cale Gilbert Harris, both residing in Donalsonville, GA, and 2 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Timothy "Bo" Harris, and his wife Brenda, of Blakely, GA. Larry shared a special bond with his nephews and niece, Brandon, Brad, and Brett, whose unwavering assistance to Mary during this time is greatly appreciated.

Larry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Walter Ray and Elouise Harris, and his brothers, Leonard Harris and Joseph "Joe" Harris. His memory will continue to be cherished by several nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were privileged to know him.
A memorial service in celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2026, at 11:00 am at Kolomoki State Park. Dress is casual per Larry’s request, family is asking that friends share stories or speak on their friendship with Larry. The family and friends are also invited to stay and share a meal after the memorial services.

Larry Edward Harris will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his service to his country, his accomplished career, and his generous spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
