It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny Mack Enfinger, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Johnny passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 24th, 2026, at the age of 73, in his hometown of Blakely, Georgia.
Johnny was born on Monday, January 26th, 1953, in Blakely, Georgia, where he spent his entire life contributing to the community he loved. He earned a Master of Science degree from UGA in Plant Pathology and dedicated his life to farming. Johnny was known for his tireless work ethic and his unwavering commitment to helping others, always with a smile on his face. He was a cherished member of the Church of Christ, where his kindness and generosity touched many lives.
Johnny is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Judy Sims Enfinger, and their two children, Leon Neil Enfinger (Casidy) and Amy Enfinger Tucker (Jaa), all residing in Blakely, GA. He was a proud grandfather to Owen Neil Enfinger, Brody Case Enfinger, and Payton Arabella Tucker. Johnny is also survived by his siblings, Larry Wayne Enfinger of Blakely and Barbara Ann Dix of Albany, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Dudley Enfinger and Lula Belle Enfinger, and his sister-in-law, Peggy Ann Enfinger.
A graveside service to honor Johnny's life will be held at Blakely Cemetery in Blakely, GA, on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, at 11:00 am. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the family home.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ladon Durham, Keith Durham, Derwin Justice, Jim Nolan, Eric Jarrett, David Weaver, Michael McNeal, and Russell McNeal.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Johnny's memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.
Johnny Mack Enfinger will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him. Though he is gone, his music and the happiness he brought through his guitar and his voice will never be forgotten. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.
