Joan Ellington Whatley

Mrs. Whatley was born on December 15, 1931, in Edison, GA, to the late Joseph Ellington and Dixie Diamond Rogers Ellington. She was a homemaker and a retired insurance agent.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Paul Whatley; one sister, Carolyn Thomas; two brothers, James and Edward Ellington.
Her survivors include one daughter, Wendi (Scott) Adair of Brevard, NC; three sons, Robbie (Julie) Whatley, Leary, GA, Larry (Debra) Whatley, Colquitt, GA and Joe Whatley, Murrayville, GA.She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Scott (Maureen) Whatley, Shane (Liz) Whatley, Eric (Kendall) Whatley, Paul Adair, Ellington Adair, Amanda (Kyle) Hammock and Breanna (Michael) Griffin; 8 great-grandchildren; Aiden, Chap, Bo, Thomas, Ben and Dylan Whatley, Braxton Griffin and Brylee Griffin.
