Jimmie Harold Thomas

Jimmie Harold Thomas, a beloved resident of Morgan, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on Tuesday, September 2nd, 1947, in Blakely, Georgia, Jimmie lived a life marked by dedication, love, and service.

Jimmie proudly served his country as a Combat Specialist in the United States Army, where he demonstrated courage and commitment. After his military service, he pursued a career as a welder and fabricator, a profession in which he excelled and took great pride.

Jimmie is survived by his life partner, Peggy Thomas, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. He leaves behind a legacy through his son, Ryan Thomas of Albany, GA, and his cherished grandchildren, Ty Thomas, Hill Thomas (Kennedie), and Breana Shippey. Jimmie was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Emmaline Thomas, who brought him immense joy.

He is also survived by his siblings, Lisa Herrera (Armando) of Jonesboro, GA, Robert Thomas Jr. (Gail) of Bainbridge, GA, and L.J. Thomas of El Paso, TX, along with several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their uncle's warmth and wisdom.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nedosa Thomas, his son, Jimmie Harold Thomas Jr., and his brothers, Billy Thomas and Bobby Thomas.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home on Friday, December 19th, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Jimmie's life will follow at 2:00 pm at the same location. Interment will follow at Blakely Cemetery.
