Grace Monday Love

Feb 27, 1943 — Aug 27, 2026

Blakely

Grace Monday Love, 83, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 27, 1943, to Otha and Nancy Glass Monday in Seminole County, GA. Grace was a strong woman in every sense of the word—the kind of strength that came from a lifetime of hard work, caring for others, and doing whatever needed to be done for the people she loved. She was a provider, a steady presence, and someone her family knew they could always count on.

Grace's love and influence reached far beyond her own home. She played a pivotal role in the lives of her nieces and nephews and, in time, the generations that followed. To many, she was simply “Aunt Grace,” a name that carried with it far more than a family title. It meant someone who was there when you needed her, someone who cared enough to tell you the truth, and someone whose love for her family was never in question. Grace loved her family fiercely.

During the 1990s, Grace and her husband owned and operated a small-town bait shop, where their hard work and familiar faces became part of the community around them. They also enjoyed attending local sporting events, supporting the young people and community that meant so much to them.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Nancy Monday, her husband, Carl Edward Love, her son, Dennis Keith Love, and siblings, Delmer Monday and his wife Callie Sue Monday, James Monday, Herman Monday, Thelma Monday James and her husband Leonard, and sister-in-law, Cindy Monday. She is survived by her siblings, Roy Monday (Brenda) of Blakely, GA, and Jimmy Monday (Brenda) of Ozark, AL. Aunt Grace is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blakely Cemetery.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Grace Monday Love leaves behind a family legacy made stronger because she was part of it, and generations who will continue to carry with them the lessons, love, and unmistakable influence of Aunt Grace.
