Bluffton, GA – Gloria B. Hubbard, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Thomasville, GA, on September 16, 1948, Gloria was a cherished member of the Bluffton community, where she resided for many years.
Gloria was a dedicated receptionist at Birdsong Peanut Company in Blakely, GA, where she worked until her retirement. Her warm smile and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A devoted member of the Bluffton Baptist Church, Gloria's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was actively involved in church activities and community service.
She is survived by her loving children: Carol Ann Hubbard Knight (Tommy) of Jefferson, GA; William Albert Hubbard, Jr. (Emily) of Macclenny, FL; and Mark Brinson Hubbard (Crissy) of Cobb, GA. Gloria was a proud grandmother to Erin Strickland (Shannon), Cathryn Puckett (Will), William "Trey" Albert Hubbard, III (Andrea), Haylee Hubbard-Moreno (Joey), Brinson Hubbard, Will Hubbard, Walker Woods, and Julia Clare Hubbard. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Luke Baker, Annie Beth Strickland, Lane Strickland, Max Puckett, Huck Puckett, Aubreigh Hubbard, and Micah Hubbard-Moreno.
Gloria is also survived by her brother, Jack Brinson of Bainbridge, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton Jack Brinson and Ollie Brinson, her beloved husband, William Albert Hubbard Sr., and her brother, David Brinson.
A visitation will be held at Bluffton Baptist Church on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Michael Williams. Interment will take place at Bluffton City Cemetery. Pallbearers asked to serve are Trey Hubbard, Brinson Hubbard, Will Hubbard, Walker Woods, Matt Bruner, and Joel Durham.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Bluffton Baptist Church in Gloria's memory. Arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.
Gloria B. Hubbard will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her community, and her faith. Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
