It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenna Kay Mobley Bruner, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at the age of 71. Glenna was born on August 28th, 1954, in Pasco County, Florida, and resided in Blakely, GA, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication.
Glenna was a devoted Dietary Supervisor at Southwest Georgia Regional Medical Center, known for her commitment and care in her professional life. She was also a cherished member of the Colomokee Baptist Church, where her faith and community spirit were evident to all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving children: Trey Watson (Tamara) of Memphis, TN, Mandy Chapman (Chad) of Blakely, GA, Mary Joe McMullen of Atlanta, GA, Michelle Peace (Chris) of Blakely, GA, and Wesley Bruner (Rebeca) of Tallahassee, FL. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Michael Watson, Ben Watson, Abby Chapman (Jonathan), Emma Chapman, Joe Chapman, Bruner Forest McMullen, Kayleigh Peace, Kyleigh Peace, Kynsleigh Peace, and Leila Forrsell, as well as her three great-grandchildren. Glenna's family was further enriched by her "Extra Blessing" family, Cole Medlin (Hannah), Joseph Sawyer (Ansley), and their children.
Glenna is also survived by her siblings, Carole Tomberlin (Jerome) of Colquitt, and Joe Mobley of Augusta. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenwood Forrest Mobley, her mother, Emily Kay Munson, her beloved spouse, Johnny Bruner, her sister, Patricia Denner, and her brother, James Forrest Mobley.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her dedicated caregivers: Abigail Levatt, Letitia Tinson, Sandra Wade, Mona Lee, and Tori Wimberly, for their compassionate care and support.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Blakely, with Rev. Chris Guffey officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in New Park Cemetery, Fort Gaines, GA. Pallbearers honoring Glenna's memory will include Michael Watson, Ben Watson, Cole Medlin, Joseph Sawyer, Wade Crozier, and Joshua Rash.
