Ginger Spence

Ginger Spence, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7th, 2025, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL. Born on Tuesday, November 28th, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, Ginger lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.

Ginger was a dedicated telephone operator for ATT, where she worked diligently until her retirement. Her warm voice and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of speaking with her.

In her personal life, Ginger found joy in the simple pleasures. She was an avid gardener, nurturing her plants with the same care and attention she gave to her family and friends. Her love for traveling took her to many places, where she created cherished memories and lifelong friendships.

Ginger is survived by her devoted husband, Billie Spence of Blakely, GA, and her loving son, Larry Beck, and his wife Elizabeth of Cumming, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Howard Grouse Sr. and Anna Belle Grouse, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

At this time, no service is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, who are handling the details with the utmost care and respect.

Ginger's family and friends will forever remember her gentle spirit, her infectious smile, and the love she shared with everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
