Ethel "Anne" Wynn White, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, at her home, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 1:40 pm, at the age of 81. She was born on a Sunday afternoon, at 4:30 pm on May 20, 1945, in Baxley, GA, to Clarence and Beatrice Wynn. Anne was a cherished resident of Blakely, GA, where she spent the majority of her life surrounded by family and friends.
Anne was the devoted wife of Jimmy White, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She is survived by her loving son, Matthew Robert White of Blakely, GA, who was the light of her life.
Anne was a dedicated sister to Cornelia Inez Wynn Hood of Monticello, GA, Seleda Dianles of Atlanta, GA, Sarah Wynn Shell of Fitzgerald, GA, James David Wynn of Fitzgerald, GA, and Mike Wynn of Charlotte, NC. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who adored her.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Franklin Wynn and Beatrice Wynn, as well as her brothers Buddy Wynn, William Robert Wynn, Tommy Royce Wynn, and Vance Wynn, Anne's legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Anne was a woman of great intellect and compassion, holding a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology. Her career was marked by her dedication to the well-being of others, serving as the Director of Early Co Nursing Home, where she touched countless lives with her warmth and empathy.
A graveside service to honor Anne's life will be held at Blakely Cemetery on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Fowler. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at Manry- Jordan- Hodges Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, allowing family and friends to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, who have provided compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
Anne will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her community, and her gentle spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
