Elizabeth Louise Nash

Elizabeth Louise Nash, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on March 26th, 1940, in Columbus, GA, Elizabeth was a cherished resident of Blakely, GA, where she spent the majority of her life.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving parents, Leroy and Sara Louise Green, her devoted husband, Walter Richard Nash, her son, Terry Nash, and her siblings, Betty Whitaker, Johnny Green, Joe Green, Ronnie Green, and Kenny Green.

She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Nash of Blakely, GA, and Sandy Nash Cox (Mike) of Cobb Island, MD. Elizabeth was a proud grandmother to Ashley Cox, Tyler Cox (Patty), and Tanner Cox, who will all serve as pallbearers in her honor. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Pines of Columbus, GA, who will deeply miss her companionship and love.

A member of Southside Baptist Church, Elizabeth found joy and solace in her faith and the fellowship of her church family.

Funeral services will be held at Southside Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Warren Fox. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at the church from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Elizabeth's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.

Elizabeth Louise Nash will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
