Dennis W Chambliss

Dennis W. Chambliss, 66, of Jakin, GA passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Lakeland, FL to the late Joe Will Chambliss and Betty Garrison Gordon, on December 24, 1957. Mr Dennis was preceded in death by his siblings, Linda Banfield and Gary Chambliss. Mr Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and being a sportsman. He also lived life as a self-employed contractor, working as a brick mason and deer processor. He is survived by his loving life partner, of 30 plus years, Mary Helen Edwards, children, Windy Chambliss Hancock of Panama City Beach, FL, Brandy Chambliss Johnson of Edison, GA, Josh “Chunk” Chambliss of Colquitt, GA, Matt “Slim” Chambliss (Heather) of Doerun, GA. Siblings, Ronnie Chambliss (Barbara) of Blakely, Sandy Fortner (Larry) of Ashford, AL, Bobby Chambliss (Darlene) of Tallahassee, FL, Jay Chambliss of Blakely, GA, Patrick Chambliss (Michelle) of Blakely, GA. 8 Grandchildren, 2 Uncles, Frankie Chambliss and David “Bateye” Chambliss, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. The family would like to express special thanks to Heather Chambliss, Jason Varnadore, and Brent Henry for all their help during these last years. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to help offset funeral expenses. Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family.
