Danny Robert Chandler

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Robert Chandler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Danny passed away Saturday, October 17th, 2026, at the age of 80.

Danny was born on Friday, October 11th, 1946, in Donalsonville, GA, to the late Sam Ray Chandler and Letha Chambers Chandler. He grew up with a passion for the land, which led him to pursue a Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering. Danny dedicated his life to farming, working tirelessly as a self-employed farmer, nurturing the earth and providing for his family.

A devoted member of the Centerville Methodist Church, Danny's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his community and family.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Jane Chandler, who stood by his side through life's many seasons. He leaves behind three cherished children: Robin Chandler-Morgan (Matt) of Americus, GA, Daniel Robert Chandler (Karen) of Madison, AL, and Samuel Howell Chandler of Panama City Beach, FL. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren: Scarlett Rae Morgan, Ethan Wayland Chandler, Jackson Robert Chandler, and Judah Thomas Chandler.

Danny is also survived by his siblings, Ginger Chandler Jones of Blakely, GA, and Charles Ray Chandler (Vickie) of Metter, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Ray Chandler and Letha Chambers Chandler.

A graveside service to honor Danny's life will be held at Centerville Cemetery in Blakely, GA, on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, at 11:00 am. The service will be officiated by Rev. Lori Lewis, a testament to Danny's deep-rooted faith and community ties.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, who have provided compassionate care during this difficult time.

Danny Robert Chandler will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his faith, and his work. His gentle spirit and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
