Charlotte Ann Wells, 82, of Blakely, passed away peacefully with her daughter Sherry by her side on October 6, 2023 at the Early Memorial Nursing Home. Celebration of Life services will be held, 4:00pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends 3-4pm on Sunday prior to services. Charlotte was born in Section, Alabama on November 3, 1940 to the late Thelma Robertson Suttles and James W. Suttles. She met and married Sherwin Coulter in Rome, Georgia and had two daughters. Charlotte and Sherwin moved to Cedar Springs where he worked at the Paper Mill. Later they moved to Blakely where Charlotte worked at Peter’s Drug Store and the IGA. Later she moved to Colquitt and married Max Wells and was employed as a cashier at the IGA and Piggly Wiggly. After working for several years at Wells Fargo in Atlanta, she transferred to a branch in Lakeland, Florida where she worked until her retirement. Charlotte remained in Florida until June 2021 when Sherry moved her to Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely. Charlotte is survived by her daughters: Kim Coulter and Sherry Coulter Parker. Grandsons: Jaa (Amy) Tucker of Blakely, GA, and Charlie (Olivia) Parker of Ankeny, Iowa. Great-Granddaughter, Payton Tucker of Blakely, GA. Great-Grandson Stetson Parker of Ankeny, Iowa Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. Sherry and Kim want to express their appreciation to the staff at EMNH and Gentiva Hospice for all of their kindness, care, and compassion that they showed Charlotte and the family.
