Carol Rose Fraser Robertson entered the gates of Heaven on December 30, 2025, after an extended illness. She passed away peacefully at the age of 81, surrounded by the love of the family she cherished so deeply. Born on February 11, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Carol was raised from early childhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She attended Chattanooga High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was honored as Miss UTC her freshman year and was a proud member of Chi Omega Sorority.
On June 15, 1963, Carol married her high school sweetheart, Charles Wallace “Wally” Robertson Jr., beginning a beautiful marriage that flourished for 62 years. Together, they built a rich and loving life, rooted in faith, family, and service.
Carol is survived by her devoted husband, Wally Robertson; and her daughters: Stacey Elizabeth (David) Stover of Daphne, AL; Jill Michelle Robertson of Keller, TX; Kelli Denise Robertson of Cumming, GA; and Ashley Paige (David) Bivens of Woodstock, GA. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren—Nicholas Payne Stover (Lucy), Miles Hamilton Stover, Sutton Grace Murray, Savannah Rose Murray, Bennett Coleman Murray, William Hampton Switzer Jr., Luke Alexander Switzer, Davidson Fisher Bivens, and Lolly Blue Bivens—and her great-grandson, Charles Payne Stover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Fraser and Gladys Pauline Huffine Fraser; her brother, Art Fraser; and her beloved grandson, Jacob Charles “Jake” Stover.
For more than 50 years, Carol was an active and faithful member of Blakely First Methodist Church. She served joyfully and tirelessly in countless ministries—teaching and supporting children and youth programs while raising her daughters, sharing her remarkable singing voice as a devoted choir member, and offering heartfelt solos that touched many lives. Carol and Wally spent years visiting the sick and homebound, often bringing her delicious baked goods as a gesture of comfort and kindness. In later years, she baked a cake every Saturday night for Wally to take to his Men’s Bible Class, celebrating members’ birthdays weekly. She also served for many years in the church’s clothing room, helping visitors find necessities and unexpected treasures. Carol was a longtime and beloved member of the Sonshine Circle Sunday School class.
An exceptional cook and gifted baker, Carol brought family and friends together with her warm hospitality and unforgettable desserts. Her cakes, cookies, and pies were local favorites, and she earned numerous awards in the Peanut Festival cooking contests—winning every time she entered her famous peanut brittle.
Carol dedicated 23 years of her professional life to the U.S. Farm Service Agency, proudly supporting Early County’s farmers through programs that strengthened and sustained the agricultural community she loved.
Carol will be remembered for her generosity, her beautiful voice, her deep and steadfast faith, her extraordinary talent in the kitchen, and the boundless love she poured into her family and community. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be profoundly missed.
