Carol Ann Francis Hamm (Wright), age 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Born on August 22, 1945, in Fleetwood, Lancashire, England, Carol was the daughter of Richard Wright and Margaret Doyle Wright of Dublin, Ireland.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Brendan, Randall, Pauline, Noel, Eamond, and Jacqueline; and her son, John Hamm. She is survived by her son, Kevin Richard Ham (Marcie Lynn Ham); her granddaughters, Tanya Hamm and Mackenzie Lee Ham; her great grandchildren, Jayden James Barrera Hamm and Dionisia Ann Barrera-Hamm; her brother, Richard Wright; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews throughout Northern England.

In 1965, Carol moved from England to the United States to work as a nanny in California. She later settled in Commerce City, Colorado, where she raised her two sons, John and Kevin. Although Carol remained in the United States, she was deeply proud of her English heritage and made it a priority to share that love with her family. Over the years, she returned to England to visit family and friends, sharing her heritage with her sons and later enjoying a special girls’ trip with her granddaughters to help them connect with their roots.

In 2023, Carol moved to Blakely, Georgia for health reasons, where she made her home in a mother in-law suite adjoining the home of Kevin and Marcie. She devoted her life to loving and caring for those around her. Carol would do anything for her family and friends. She also treasured the lifelong friendships she shared with Kate Wood of Commerce City, Colorado, and Janet Lunn of Fleetwood, England, speaking with them often and holding them close to her heart.

Carol’s greatest joy was her family, and her love for them knew no bounds. Though she will be deeply missed, her loved ones find comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and has been reunited with her parents, her siblings, and her son, John and that she is now resting peacefully in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
