Bobby James Brooks, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021.His funeral service will be Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11 a.m. at MarsHill Primative Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Gaines and Bro. Lamar Burkett officiating.Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Mark Miller, Terry Torbert, Chris Kendrick, Jason Brown Jim Atchley and Alan Lee serving as active pallbearers.Honorary pallbearers will be Marion Lane, Frank Miller, John McGriff, Ted McLendon, Barry Bell, Mike Hartley, Aldine Owen, Joe Jackson, Reeves Lane, Gerald Isler and George Hartley.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service at 11 a.m.

Bobby was born February, 12, 1938 to the late Willie Claude Brooks and Maggie Lee Durham Brooks.He was a member of Edison Baptist Church Sunday School class "Pairs and spairs", and in the Lions Club, Chairman of the farm credit board.He was a farmer for fifty plus years and loved to watch his son, Chad, pick peanuts.Collecting antiques was a passion of his.Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother John Brooks.

His survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jo Page Brooks, a son, Chad (Lea) Brooks, a daughter Paige Brooks Martin (Bill). and two grandchildren, Kyle and Abbygail Brooks.

Flowers are accepted or donations to Edison Baptist Church, Mars Hill Primative Baptist Church or Edison Methodist Church.
