Betty Ann Johns Oates, a beloved resident of Webb, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on Thursday, June 14th, 1945, in Blakely, Georgia, Betty was a cherished member of her community and a devoted family woman.

Betty was the former owner of Webb Nursery, where she spent many years nurturing her passion for gardening and sharing her love of plants with others. Her dedication to her work and her community was evident in all she did. Betty was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving son, Henry Harbin III, and his wife Ann, of Colquitt, Georgia; her cherished grandson, Henry "Hank" Harbin IV, of Tallahassee, Florida; and her dear sister, Janyce Smith, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Louise Johns; her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Charles Oates; her sister, Shelby Jean Jackson; and her brother, Durwood Johns.

A graveside service will be held at Blakely Cemetery on Saturday, February 14th, 2026, at 10:00 am. Pallbearers will include Scott Warren, Jim Warren, Brock Cody, Mike Oates, Harold Houston, Johnny Jackson, and Robert Johns.

Arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Betty's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
